Originally published in 1953 by Floyd Benjamin Layne. <p> <b>From the author: </b> <br> The purpose of this book is to get into printed form data and information accumulated over forty years by several persons interested in the genealogy of those having the name Layne. </p><p> 26 Family Groups are provided throughout. Each group, at the time this book was first published, represents a living family with the name Layne. </p><p> Also included are family trees for each group which are made up of the reference numbers of each individual in the group. </p><p> <b>Publishers Note: </b> <br> I would like to thank Mr. Floyd Benjamin Layne for taking the time to compile such extensive research on the Layne family name. This book is a testament to that hard work and, because so, it was not changed in any way from its original publishing in 1953.
